How many other weddings will Flowers by Suzanne be working on the same day?

We only undertake one wedding per weekend, which is why we recommend if you are getting married in the busy summer months - to book as early as possible.

Will the florist I've consulted with be the person doing my flowers, or will it be another member of the team?

Yes, the majority of the wedding flowers are created by Suzy, who holds one to one consultations with brides-to-be.  Once the wedding is booked, and depending on the size of wedding, we organise our team of freelance florists to assist with specific weddings.  


Is there a consultation fee? If so, can this be redeemed against our flower order?

There is no consultation fee, we offer a free no-obligation consultation.  Once the quotation is sent out to you, and you are happy with the ideas and pricing, we ask for a non-refundable £100 deposit to hold your wedding date with us.  The deposit amount is taken off the final invoice.  Once booked with a deposit and if considered necesssary (dependent on size of the wedding and colours chosen) then an extra consultation to either the venue/church or flower market will be offered.  Any further face to face meetings requested by the client above and beyond this will be charged at £25 per hour with this amount added to the final balance.  


I don't know much about flowers and have no idea where to start! Can you help?

Prior to the consultation, the best place to start is to take some cuttings from wedding magazines, create a mood board or a Pinterest wedding board specifically for flowers which is easy to set up and a great place to collate your initial ideas.  When we meet we will also show you our extensive portfolio to help choose your designs, we will also provide you with a list of available flowers at the time of your wedding.


I can't decide on my bridal bouquet and/or table design, do you provide mock-ups?

Sometimes it can be really hard to decide, there is so much choice!  Once you have booked our services with a deposit, we do provide one or two mock-ups, which you are welcome to view and collect from our premises, or we can take detailed photographs and email them to you.  We do however charge for the materials and our labour, this can be discussed in your consultation.


When will we be expected to pay for our flowers, and by what method?

You will be sent an invoice approximately five weeks prior to your wedding.  Payment is required no later than four weeks prior to the wedding date/event.  Prompt payment is appreciated.  Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.  Direct banking details can be sent to you on request.  We also accept cash/cheques made payable to 'Mrs S J E Randell' or we can provide a Paypal invoice.


Is there a maximum distance Flowers by Suzanne will travel to decorate the venue and do you charge for delivery, if so how much?

We cover all of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and some venues in Essex and Buckinghamshire.  We do charge petrol delivery and for our time, this can be discussed in your consultation.


What time do you deliver our wedding flowers?

During the consultation we ask specific questions regarding time of the wedding and where the bride and groom and families will be staying on the morning of the wedding.  We then confirm via email one week before the wedding our delivery times.  Typically we deliver the bridal flowers between 7.30am-9.30am, we are flexible however, so we are happy to deliver at a preferred time to you also.


Will you set up all our church and venue flowers, or do we need to do this? 
 Yes, all the flower designs that you have ordered will be set up on the morning of the wedding. We can liaise with the church and venue regarding suitable delivery times.  Sometimes we set up the church flowers the day before, if the flowers are in wet foam or water.  Typically we deliver the church and venue flowers from 10am.  

Can we provide/purchase our own containers for our guest tables or do you have to provide them? 

We are flexible!  Sometimes the bride and groom prefer to source their own containers, in which case we ask that these are dropped off to us about a week before the wedding.  We fill them with flowers the day before the wedding and then deliver on the morning when we set up the tables.  We prefer not to fill with flowers at the venue on the wedding morning, as sometimes this can take quite a few hours.  We can provide tall conical vases, fishbowls, jam jars, small vases or vintage jugs, which we then collect the day after the wedding.  We can also provide candle votives, mirror plates and tree slices.  There is a hire charge for these items, this can be discussed in your consultation.


Does Flowers by Suzanne charge for any breakages of any hired vases or containers?

Yes, if any damages are made to the hired items, or items are not found/returned 48 hours after the event, there will be a charge so we can purchase a replacement.  See our Terms and Conditions for more information.


What do we do with the flowers after the wedding?

Sometimes, at the end of the evening, the bride and groom like to give the table flowers to their parents, extended family or to specific friends.  Other couples like to donate them to local residential homes.  The venue will also sometimes dispose of them if requested prior to the wedding.


I want to preserve my bridal bouquet.  What is the best way to do this?
